Beltane
To herald the summer months of verdant landscape, here is the Green Man:
I’m currently working towards Beltane, the fire festival on the 30th April. On that night the Green Man is stripped of his shrubbery and given to the May Queen.

sketching for yule
It’s almost samhuin so my thoughts not only turn to the change of seasons, autumnal trees, bonfires and frost, but of local fire festivals and performances. I’ve been sketching images and will turn them into prints and cards. The green man still needs some holly, so here instead is the inked sketch of the yuletide jesters:
