Clare Elizabeth Saunders

Clare enjoys tactile, hand-based Craft, Fine Art and illustration from drawing, painting, stencilling, collage, customising clothing, silk painting, jewellery, wood work, sugar craft, ceramics and pottery.

Things which inspire Clare are Architecture, Comic Books and Cartoons, Surrealism, Graffiti, the Pre-Raphaelites’, Image and Fashion, Impressionism, Nature, and Pop art.

Clare has been a member of KMSO since June 2011 and has her works featured in our exhibition at the Auld Hoose. Prior to this she had a solo exhibition at the Roseleaf Cafe/Bar in Leith where her artwork featured Cupcakes, Ice Creams, Tea Sets and Cocktails. These were painted with Oil and Acrylic Paint on Canvas and were inspired by Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and looking at Artists from the Pop-Surrealism Movement.
