Gavin Dougan
Gavin has 8 years experience both studying and practicing photography. Gavin was awarded in 2004 for being the overall winner of "The National Tetley Tea Photographic competition
2003". His winning image was used in several food catering magazines around the country and featured in several newspapers such as the Evening News and The Scotsman.
Gavin has been commissioned by companies such as The Forth Estuary Transport Authority. Other published work includes an image for "The Scots Magazine" for their article on the Forth Road Bridge's 40th year.
Gavin's most recent achievement was being runner-up in “The Scotsman” newspapers 1st major fringe festival photographic competition, with his image of the End of Festival Fireworks. Other achievements include being one of seven photographers to cover the "T-Break Showcases" as part of T in the park music festival 2005 and making the final 13 in my category (Scotland/Urban) for "A Digital Picture of Britain”, a competition run by the BBC last year.
Gavin has completed an Advanced Diploma in Photography at Stevenson College in Edinburgh and passed the PQE or Professional Qualification Exam for the BIPP (British Institute of Professional Photography) of which he is qualified up to the level of Licentiate.
